The Government of Georgia has started the nationalization and introduction of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, and the implementation phase began in 2018. After extensive consultations, taking into account the challenges and the national context, all 17 Goals and 93 Objectives were identified as the National Priority. In the National Document on Sustainable Development Goals, each sectoral objective's implementation was envisaged, and baseline and target values for 200 indicators were defined.

Taking into account the complexity of the National Document, to simplify the monitoring and evaluation process and improve the interagency coordination development of an online platform became necessary. The system will ensure increased transparency of the process of advancement towards the goals and achievement of the outcomes. Moreover, it will link the goals and objectives to the internal policy documents and publicly disclose information on existing state financial resources.
